Quick Links

The Shoulder & Elbow clinic is run by a group of highly qualified and experienced medical professionals who have a special interest in Shoulder and Elbow surgery in the UK. The clinic is located in Newport, South Wales in the United Kingdom and regularly treats patients from all over the UK including Newport, Bristol, Bath, Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. You will find details of how to get to our clinic from the South West of England and South Wales on our “find us “page

We commonly and successfully diagnose and treat an extensive range of shoulder and elbow conditions with the latest techniques. Many shoulder conditions can be treated with arthroscopic surgery also known as keyhole surgery resulting in smaller incisions with less scarring, less chance of infection and quicker recovery times, allowing patients to return to normal activity more swiftly than with open surgery.

"I was in a lot of pain with my shoulder...The treatment I received was absolutely 1st Class…I understood what was happening at every stage of my treatment..After my shoulder surgery I made a full recovery in under 5 weeks " Mr DC Jones, Vale of Glamorgan, UK

The team at the clinic offer a friendly and informative service which benefits from the extensive specialist knowledge and experience gathered by the team lead by Mr R Kulkarni.

The site has recently been upgraded to include an enhanced patient education portal which explains the most common shoulder conditions with the aid of 3d animations and graphics and illustrates the disorder, diagnosis and the treatment. Our elbow education section is functional and accessible but still under development and lacks 3d content currently. This content is really focused on educating the patient to reduce anxieties related to shoulder surgery and to give them a full understanding of the whole process from cause and effect to treatment.

" I felt reassured about shoulder surgery after looking it up on the site... I had lots of questions and was very nervous prior to this...the animations really helped explain a huge amount about the process!" Mrs Stevens , Cardiff, Uk
